What the color of a monster's name means:
Orange: at least 8 levels above yours
Yellow: 5-8 levels above yours
Beige: 2-5 levels above yours
White: 1-2 levels above or below yours
Aqua: 3-5 levels below yours
Pea Green: 5-8 levels below yours
Green: 8-11 levels below yours
Dark green: Over 11 levels below yours
Monster Element Guide:
Fire – Fire Resistant, Water Weakness
Metal – Metal Resistant, Fire Weakness
Wood – Wood Resistant, Metal Weakness
Earth – Earth Resistant, Wood Weakness
Water – Water Resistant, Earth Weakness

umm........thanks but this isnt 100%. Wood is weak to metal. Water is weak to wood.

so is water weak to both metal AND wood?
...and wood weak to both earth AND metal?

There is a bug with the translations from what I gather, I think lady's is correct and what is displayed in the english patch is wrong.

why is wood weakened by water?? it makes some sense but not a whole lot.. Why not fire?? Water just like.. softens up wood.. but fire like turns it to ash

doesnt make sense either thaty in the translation nothnig is weakend by earth and two elements are weakend by wood

You don't have to remmeber monster element. Just drag your mouse over the line under their name then you'll see what you need ^^  it said ^^: [Metal] – Metal Resistant, Fire Weakness [Wood] – Wood Resistant, Metal Weakness [Water] – Water Resistant, Earth Weakness [Fire] – Fire Resistant, Water Weakness [Earth] – Earth Resistant, Wood Weakness [None] - don't have element

In the english translation version it says that Wood affects 2 of them however you screenshot is what it should be.
