I've just started playing and wanted to gather some general info before I jump into deciding how I should build my Character. I've noticed that the human warriors get skills for swords, axes, lances, and gloves/claws.

If possible could someone post the general differences between the weapons and what sort of build and roles would be accompanied by them?

All info is greatly appreciated Smile

I also just started playing recently, from what it seems there are different types of warriors you could build.

One would probably be the Axe/hammer build where you'd pump more points into STR and CON and not so much into Dex. This build seems to be more of the tanking/defensive build with a large power gap. This build also seems great for AOE mobbing at higher levels due to the number of AOE the axe/hammers have as well as the massive heavy armor + con.

Another build I could possibly think of would be the DEX and CON build, this type of warrior would use fist weapons to deal more damage through crits and accurate attacks. This class is probably best for more of 1 v 1 situations as they are fast in killing and are able to evade most attacks. This class would also use light armor on oppose to heavy armor due to the lack of str. However, this class also seems to be more resistant to magic attacks.

Swords/Blades seem to be the mix between the Axe/Hammer and Fist weapons. They require a number amount of STR and DEX to use, which means you won't probably have as much Con to survive long fights. However, it seems that this build is probably good for dealing damage rather than taking it.

You can go here to see the list of weapons and requirements to use them, and their damage for a few of them:

This is my first build on the PW a lvl 89 wuxia (SPEAR USER)
(but imagine if we got stones in it + buff from beast and other buffs = almost the same with the build below(the one with a hi-cons)..

This is another build... less dex, more on cons.. (but try to look at the Hit rate , critical and Evade) it suffer alot compare to HP...

NOTE: all equip items are normal items..

From what I've played so far,

I added stats and this is what I got

for every point of Con I add, I gain 4 p. Def, 2 m.def (for every element) and 15 health.

It doesn't show that you have extra mdef or pdef than your dex build @_@

That can't be right.

CON adds HP. DEX adds evade and accarucy, damage if you're an Archer. STR adds physical defense and physical attack. INT for MP and magical defense.

How did you get 3 different stat boost under CON. That's interesting. You sure you are a Warrior class?

Yeah, I'm trying the chinese malaysian version right now. I get 2 mdef for each element and some pdef for Wu Xia for every con I add.

Interesting info Smile
I'm killing time till the English server comes out anyway so I'll mess around with the Wuxia class for now, I think I'll see how swords work out for me. By the way does anyone have info on what type of skills come with the Lance? and what type of role would be played by the lance user?

i can share alot for lance user.. cuz i have played a lvl 89 (lance or spear user) at a TW
or CityBattle..

They are the killers in TW.. when i played it in a TW i killed alot ^^,
not to mention it has alot of AOE skills.. and have a decent range skills.
its stats is quite balance compared to other.

as you can see at my stats that I used during TW (1st build)
i have a sustainable HP and a decent Hit, Eva and 12% critical rate.

How good is the spear in pvp? I wasn't so sure myself mainly because it seems axes have more of an advantage when it comes to brute fights (ton of armor + health seems to win in most fights). Is there something which makes spear fair well against other melee's in pvp?

We're you able to meet other players who did extremely well with other weapons? Just curious @_@

Your second build seems really good if you were to take some points from con and added them into dex as well. Having almost a balance amount of con and dex (mainly because it seems your first build was gimped health wise as you are losing 1815 health compared to your second. That's pretty much more than half of your first build, which means someone who has a ton of health more than you may be able to outlast you in other aspects.)

hmm.. a little info: axe users, sword users, and spears users = Heavy armor
i have battled with a same lvl wuxia with the first build, and i won. (lvl 89 vs lvl 89)

when i played at a CityBattle or Territorial War I also killed 1 Male Beast and 1 Wuxia (blade) vs Me (a wuxia spear type) this is a 2 on 1 situation with the same lvls. All lvl 89. ( i have used my 1st build)

sory for my english.. its hard to explain T_T

Does anyone know how well Swords or Dual swords do in pvp? Or is the lance the ideal weapon for pvp?

@jhaycjhay8:

Did you level your way to the lvl 89 spear wuxia? You would hardly be able to level after lvl 50+no one would want you in their FB(instances) parties if you go with that first build.

Also, PK skills plays a big factor in Territorial Wars. The right usage and combinations of skills to counter whichever class and its corresponding build = the way to go. (Im assuming both sides are the same level, around the same equipment)
You probably played against new/inexperienced players.(GM spawned their characters?) SS (beastman) wins against whatever builds of warriors 60% of the time(provided they know what to do) after level 60.

You know, I would assume that WuXia would do well with a lot of dex, mainly because they benefit the most from dex compared to any other class. However, Con still should play a major role within the build and 20 con doesn't look like it could cut it at higher levels mainly because you'd probably be dead in a few hits. Seeing that evade won't really save you against instance mobs where they attack you with spells.

I'm mainly choosing my characters abilities according to the weapon I choose on using. However, whoever reached lvl 89, could you give us some insight on the abilities such as Tiger/Dragon leap?

I hate playing WuXia when most players end up just running away. How effective would the snaring abilities be? Also, it's a pain in the ass when attacking someone whos constantly moving. Mainly because the lag of this game + the casting time makes it incredibly difficult to attack running targets. Werefoxes could just run and have their pet chasing you till you die and you can't attack them mainly because they'll keep on running. :|.... If you try to attack their pet, they'll heal their pet, if you go after them, they'll have their pet on you while they run. Catching up to running classes isn't the hard part, attacking them while moving is.

@Calvin:

Low con at higher levels: Almost no one is insane enough to do that.

Some mobs that you HAVE to fight to complete quests use magical attacks, and some FBs(instances) are filled with magic casting mobs. Also, certain mobs that you would want to grind on at higher levels (even at level 30+ actually ;x), cast magic attacks too. IMHO, unless you dont want people to party you or want to be 'unique' (and suffer greatly), dont neglect con.(at higher levels of course)

As for your question, Tiger/Dragon leap is a really awesome skill, most people would choose to max them after level 60. Those two and 'Cloud Steps'(not sure about the english name) ensures that you are able to keep up with enemies during PK. With practice, no one can run away from you, so dont worry about that.

As a Pharmacist u can craft alot pills that make u run 50%+ faster and i saw them selling alot in dragon city.
The problem is that u have to stop to use skills..and while u stop ur target is moving away from u. Happened to me several times in duels.
