I've been reading around the different connection problems people have been having, but I'm not sure if they're exactly related to mine.

You see, I opened the game and updated just fine. I logged in, selected a server, created a character and gave him a name, and then finally try to play. But, when it gets to the screen saying "Loading, please be patient." or something of that sort, it takes for ever and then the program just closes on me.

I'm running on vista and I'm not a hundred perent sure what version it is. I was able to use the automatic update just fine.
