Nice title huh? When you die in PW when fighting mobs and you are above lvl20, I know you will loose a certain percentage (cannot remember exactly how much) of your experience points. Bad enough, but then again you should have been more careful Now I remember reading somewhere that when you die YOU DO NOT LOOSE SKILLPOINTS. Can anyone confirm this? If no one can, I guess I will have to commit suicide in the game to find it out myself, but then again...I am not the suicidal type of player If indeed it is true that you do not loose skillpoints, then it would be worth dying for, in case you are short in skillpoints.

if you die, you only loose xp...only xp, no skill points. in the beginning you loose ~5% and in higher lvls it gets less than 5%. but if you die in higher lvls, it will take much longer to get the xp-loss back, than in the 20th lvls for me, when i was 20-30 i didnt care about dieing. but now, im 40+, if i can manage not to die, i prefer it this way and you are alwys short in skillpoints :D

Aahhhh, thank you Sakorah. I am rather short in skill-points at this moment. Spend too much on the crafting skills... If you see me in err.... trouble at the outskirts of Ancient Dragon City this week, then please DO NOT HELP ME --> I am attempting to commit suicide

So in fact, the best way to obtain additional skillpoints is to keep comitting suicide when you are around 5% in experience points from your next level. Sounds pretty easy. I will have to level up to 37 first (about 14% or so to go..), and then start becomming suicidal, LOL

IMO..it all depends on how you want to play the game: 1) If you want to gain combat levels fast, then indeed it's not worth it. 2) If you want the skill points to enable you to buy all skills (and in the long run this will help you to level fast) then I personally do believe it is worth it. Anyways, I am going to give it a go and see how much skill points I will be able to add to my char, without gaining a combat level. I want to be able to max out on all skills that are worthy of it IMO, which means that if I would not start committing suicide I would be short in skill points almost all the time preventing me from buying the skills I want to buy. Greetings, Aran

hmmm ok but when i look at your plan then i would say that you only have more skills at your level, but not more skills at your time playing.
As an example: When you play 3 hours and you get for this about 20k Skillpßoints, there it is necessary with Level you are and how often you died, you have only the 20k Skillpoints.
But i know what you mean... You want to have all Skills at your Level you can gain... But this is very hard and i think its not for the time you have to play worth.

Yuppers, its not going to be easy, but I am aiming for maxing out all craft skills on my WF char, without having to give up (or being forced to wait) on buying combat/buff skills. So: for my plans an added "stock" of skill points will be a necessity. And I realy do not care that much about time spend on playing, for me: it's a game, not a competion. Fun is what matters most to me.....lolz having said that...I would never have guessed that there would come a time that I would say that committing suicide would be fun.

Not true, the amount needed to level up all skills at later levels is so much that this simply will not hold true, unless at 60+ you do not mind grind an addition 1mil sp every level.. (or so). Losing experience above that level is also very painfull. On the long run you should be able to level the skills you use the most with ease. Constant duying is never worth it. Only slows you down when you do it to get sp for the next level to level up skills you never use..

1mil sp every level at 60+, ouch...never thought it would add up to that amount. That makes me reconsider the issue. Have not had the time yet to go and try it (spending my time at building an EP; still need to decide to what build would suit my purposes best). Thank you for sharing your view with us Anishada. Much appreciated. Aran

Your best bet is to just pick and choose skills you really want maxed (take 1-2 with short cooldowns so you can string them in a combo), and leave the others at 1 if you need to get them to unlock another skill. As far as priests go, plume quill and whisht heart are the absolute minimum you have to keep maxed, the rest is up to you to work out D:
