mages might just have better skills and/or higher lvl skills than you

you have to look at your damage per second also, not just "pure damage"...sure let's say someone can do like 800 every .83 seconds (assuming hammer/axe), but a claw user does 600 every 1.43 seconds...mathematically, the claw user is going to do more over time.

equipment, stats (like wth did you do 15 int...), skills, monster that you're fighting...all those effect how much damage people do. Like archers...their bows have higher attack than your axes, at the same level. Also, archers only keep str at minimum, and almost nothing in con...rest into Agility, which gives them more advantages in actual damage. Same with mages, elf priests, werefoxes...they don't need any con either.

You would probably do more if you had not put 15 int, and 30 con...and those extra 35 points into STR = more damage.

if you really want to see who's better, next time duel one of those priests, mages, archers, whatever Whistle

There are several things you can do to improve your damage.

1. Level
This should be rather obvious. As your warrior levels, he will get level bonus's to his physical attack.

2. Get a better weapon
Also rather obvious, but keep in mind that the weapon that has the greatest physical attack does not always give you the best damage per second. Look at the range given for your physical attack. Your average physical attack per second is an important figure to know because you can use it to calculate your damage per second. To get it, add the two numbers in your range, divide by two, and multiply by your attack speed.

3. Invest in more agility
Agility controls your critical rate. Your critical rate increases by 1% for every 20 points of agility. To find your weapons physical damage per second you need to take your take your critical rate and divide by 100. After that, multiply by you average physical attack per second that you calculated earlier. Write this down and call it figure 1, as you will be coming back to it. Next multiply by two, and write this down as figure 2. Finally, take your average physical attack per second, subtract the first figure, and add the second figure. You've now adjusted your average physical attack per second to include your criticals. When you get to later levels, you will find that you can get a better damage per second by using a weapon with a lower average physical attack per second, and investing the points you would have put into strength to use a weapon with a higher average physical attack per second into agility instead for the better critical rate.

4. Invest in skills that add to your attack.
I haven't tried out all the skills for the warrior in this game, but attack skills vary very little in most RPG's. They can be separated into four categories.

Burst Damage - With this type of skill, the charge and discharge time are greater than 1 second. The skill is intended as an initial burst of damage versus a non-agressive mob.

Spamable Damage - This type of skill replaces your normal attack completely because the total damage per second is greater. These are often limited by mana usage.

Bigshot Damage - These skills do a lot of damage but have a long cooldown period. Just use them whenever they come up.

Damage Over Time (DOT)- These do usually small but continuous damage over a period of time. I usually use these as early as possible in an attack because they essentially improve your DPS for a limited time.

Your true damage per second will vary depending on what skills you use and in what combination you use them. Always make decisions that improve your total damage per second.

It really depends on the monster you're up against. These int types are great damagers but are also very flimsy against physical monsters.
