here is the ULTIMATE solution!

proxy firewall!

its a free firewall that controlls which application may connect to the internet AND wether it shall use a proxy server or not^^ the best thing is that it is completely free, so there is no trial periode!

GUIDE

1. download

2. install

3. start

4. go to open proxies

5. click add proxies


6. enter these infos:
ip: 222.231.8.174 port 8080, proxy protocoll is HTTP(S) (korean proxy, has a good ping for PW^^) if this server doesnt provide a good ping, look for another proxy

7. click add to list and then click ok


8.at rules click add program


9. click browse and choose the file "elementclient.exe" in the PW element directory


10. choose use proxy server

11. click "click here to use proxy server..."


12. choose "open proxies" and here at HTTP(S) proxies the proxy server you added to the list before. click ok


13. click ok again

14. start PW

15. when the programs "launcher.exe" and "patcher.exe" try to connect just click ok to allow it

16. happy gaming^^

i tried to log in without hitting the server button...and it doesnt come further then (Logging in plz wait)

well, it works for me and many other people so there must be something wrong^^ maybe u made a mistake or maybe ur proxy is down (which i think is the more presumable source for mistakes^^)

edit: my post in the official forum:

if PW freezes this means there is a problem with the proxy server. the proxy is either down or you selected the wrong kind of proxy, like SOCKS5 instead of HTTP(S) or vice versa. i had the same problem with sockscap. check this and it should work.

it would be the best if u post your working proxies here and which kind of protocol (HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 ) they support!^^

Thanks a lot Appel. I just did it and it's perfectly working... i never had problems with lag but recently ( today ) i just logged out and when i tried to log back in it would stop at "loading bla bla.." or at 30 secs counter. I could hear sounds and all that but i was still stuck at the loading screen. I'm using this proxy now ( with that korean server :p ) and everything seems to be ok.

Im having problems today too. The proxyfirewall solution worked good until today, but now i cant even get past the login screen to my account. After turning off proxyfirewall i could log into my account, but it got stuck when loading into game. Anyone with new ideas?

Excuse me, but how the heck can i know if my proxy is HTTPS, SOCK4,5 or whatever ? It doesn't says anything anywhere, all i can see is proxy IP and port... do i have to manually check every single proxy or there is some general rule to find out which one corresponds to different protocols ?
