I made the English Patch for version 19 run with an installer. To use this with a Fresh Install: 1. copy and paste the install.ini file from "Before Installing" folder into your game install folder to replace the old file. 2. Run the Installer with "Step One" at the end of the name. This applies the patcher translation. 3. Update the game by running patcher.exe 4. After updating run the Installer with "Step Two" at the end of the name. This applies the rest of the English Patch. If you already have installed the game: 1. Rename your game folder to Perfect World MY-CN 2. Move your game folder into the Program Files folder 3. Run Step One installer 4. Update the game (unless you have already updated it...if you did, you can skip this part) 5. Run Step Two Installer NOTE: If you run vista you will still need to make a short cut of elementclient.exe and right click->properties of that exe file and add a space and then type game:cpw to the end of the name. You will have to run the game from that shortcut and will likely have to run it as administrator. Happy Patching! http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y1HDION8(I tried to upload to a couple of other places first and the connection kept dying, so for now, you're stuck with megaupload...sorry.)

Yes, you can still use the patch. If you can move the game folder to Computer->Local Disk(C ->Program Files and rename the game folder to Perfect World MY-CN you can use the auto patchers. If you have already updated the client all you would have to do is run both of the installers, so it would be very quick. The reason the name and location is important is because the auto installers point to that folder name and location on your computer to install the patch. All the patch files are built into the installer, so no drag and drop unless doing a fresh install and then it is only that one install.ini file before installing the game. But since you already installed and likely updated, it would be even easier for you. If your game is already in the Program Files directory all you have to do is rename and run the auto-installers...easy as pie!

I have installed the game, and it is in a folder in Program Files named Perfect World MY-CN. However, the english patch is a rar file that won't open. If I try to run it, it just opens and closes a internet explorer window and asks me if I would like to open or save the file. Am I doing something wrong? I just now tried to download the patch again, but megaupload said I should wait 422 minutes before trying again or get a premium membership. editWhoohoo! Nevermind, I tricked the winrar file that was downloaded along with the game into thinking the patch was WanMei_FullClient.part02 by renaming it. If all goes well, it will patch correctly...

You just need to download winrar...that's what you use to open rar files. http://www.win-rar.com/

In English! You are my savior! lol...there are two separate auto installers (I had to do it that way). The names of the installers tell you which one goes first. You have to run the patcher.exe in between the two installers. When you run that last installer you'll be able to play the game in English.

Pelican wrote:Can i install the game also in other folders than program files, i dont have my game on this direction The only way you can use the auto installers is if you move the game folder to the Program Files directory. The installers have to point to a specific path so it knows where to put the patch. Since the MY EN client's default install is directly onto the local disc I set it up this way to make sure people didn't install it on the wrong client. If you aren't able to move the folder you can copy the game folder and then paste it inside the Program Files directory. Now, if you have not installed the game yet and the install files are on your desktop you can set the game to install inside the Program Files Directory during the game install.

I have windows vist and can't figure out the element thing. I copy a shortcut to my desktop. Then I click properties and it wont let me put a ":" in the name. So I assumed you put it in the target in the properties. So this is what it says: "C:\Program Files\Perfect World MY-CN\element\elementclient.exe" game:cpw
So I clicked it and it a screen opened this time but it gave me an error in a different language. What am I doing wrong?
Also am I doing it from the begginning correctly? I put the install.ini into the game install folder. I install game to program files. I run the step one autoinstaller. I click on patch.exe in the game folder and click patch for the server, have the second option turned on and click update, but nothing happens it just closes. Then I run step two autoinstaller. Then I try to do this elementclient thing.

You can't just make a copy of elementclient.exe and put it on your desktop...you have to actually create a shortcut...they are different. If you make a shortcut and not a copy it should work right.
As for the auto installers on the c drive...since that is the most common location and I have to use a path for the installers I went with c. There's really no way to get around it with the auto installers.
