If you have wings/flying mount, use that to keep out of trouble on the ground. If it comes to mid-air combat, use your best judgement for escape/victory. In general,if you think you can beat the PK'er,give them hell. Nothing like turning the other cheek and then mocking their futile effort.

There's little point of fighting if he's like 20 levels above you unless you have back up. There's no shame in running from a stronger opponent. Fight when you're ready and on your own terms. Like you said its just a game.

1. Not much to say here, it's not so much about not getting ganked as it's a decent overall guideline. 2. See 1. They'll probably not gank you though, just think you're an idiot, insult you and move on. 3. Uhh no. If someone wants to pk spree he'll go TO the low level areas, because that's where his chances to kill people are better. Likely people in high level areas are too busy to care about some lowbie unless they're really bored or something. But even then they'll probably be busy killing eachother. 4. Maybe. Being in a group with someone with enemies might just get you ganked too though. 5. Join Memoire. Walk out of ADC. See if you can last 10 minutes while all Shades and Espada in the region zerg you down. 6. That's vague. If you mean a guild war though, terribad ideea indeed. 7. If you like to lure bosses to kill unsuspecting lowbies it means you're an asshole. From an asshole's point of view, if you succeed you'll get some people to die and lose xp. If you get killed you lose nothing. Win-win. 8. Yep. Pretty much. 9. If someone keeps following you chances are he wants to join your group, needs help with something and probably lacks the english prowess to explain himself. If he wants to kill you you'll notice. 10. Yep. They can also be naked to hide their armor and stuff. 11. Red named characters mean loot. If you fail, you lose nothing. If you win, random profit. Probably the rest of his guild after you though. But that stands for ganking in general. 12. No. If all else fails, don't fight back so he gets red. Then you can get a zerg of your guildees/friends, track him down and kill him for his stuff. If you fight back and die, he wins.
Also first post just because it's maint and I'm bored while waiting it out.

Last option a lot better, if it's someone with good gear, call your high level friends for some PK a**-kicking while you are running. Get pk only when they are near to gank him. If it is some low gear then follow other steps...
PS: getting pk means dont turn pink!!! let him kill you, you dont loose XP...

It's a good idea not to get pink yourself. Otherwise, if you're near guard/sentry NPCs, you will get attacked by them. If you die (fairly likely scenario), you will lose exp as well.
Also, even if the person is naked, you can check out his/her gear with the player equipment data option thingy.
