I am worried... hmm... any errors? tried entering safe mode if the problem still persists?  To enter safe mode press F8 to enter windows advanced options in the the boot up screen and select safe mode. I assume you're using using windows xp? You can try booting to the last known-good configuration also in that menu to see if it works. If not let me know. You'll probably need the OS cd to repair it without losing any data. As for your pc, based on my experience that's probably a fan problem. Most likely from your power supply and may require to be changed. How old is yor pc btw? I'll try to give you more tips but its not easy to help troubleshoot on the forums. :p

Nah, thanks for the help, but my laptop seems to have fixed itself -clever guy, clever guy, dear laptop- my pc... yes, it is probably a fan problem. I just felt strange my 2 pcs were working fine and both failed next day.
