shadowdropz: I think for the chin, "tune down" = chin is currently too low, tune it down by making it a bit shorter. She looks very nice though - I hope your sister is happy with the result!
I'm still looking for input on my character; I don't think I have much time left to edit her. She is near the end of page 2.

aaah...my bad xP I was trying to make her based on anime girls, and yes they do hav short chins. The downside is that i cant make their noses into cute lil points and those cute lipless mouths are impossible to do in PW xD Mahinva: about urs ,she looks great, specially the stretching pose turn me on lol.I was thinking that making those eyebrowns less bushier could improve the appearance? And I don't think green eyes match vry well with the hair, (im having problems matching hair and pupil colors myself) but that's just my opinion of course

anbg90: LOL, the pose was to show proportions; thought it was better than just standing still. XD I did change her eyebrows today, I'll have to take another couple screenshots. It's a different style for the eyebrow, as well as being a bit thinner. I'm not sure about her eye color; it's certainly hard to "sync" pupil color with such hair colors. I may just keep it; can't make it too light or it'll look odd I think, but too dark also looks awkward. I have to upload screenshots of a Yu Ling I made the other day - I can still modify her.
Oh, before I forget, the kimono looks really nice! I do think it's a bit of a shame that you can't choose the colors but any kimono is better than none, right? :D

Shadow, I like your character a lot. I don't know why you say there's something wrong with her. She's very cute, same with all of the pictures here. ^_^ Here's one of mine, a Human girl this time.

You may want to save the image and magnify it to see the contour of the face better and what I am pointing out because the cheek and chin of her face somewhat blends into her hair at this angle. I do not know if that's what anbg90 is referring to, but I think it is.

Aha! Thx! Blind,I am. xD I had to change the face shape, coz i cant rid of the dent of the 1 I used previously, the chin is a problem tho =/ Ive alrdy shortened the chin to the max,the only option left is to minimise her head and rearrange all her features. I'll edit the pic tmr, getting late here now lol Boomshika wowow...had i 1 wish now,it would be to materialise all these kawaii kawaii gurls in ma room!! Oh yea, what resolution do u guys use when taking screenies? i used 800 x 600 but the graphics came out as small lil squares when i looked closely =S

No problem; I'm glad that the image was helpful. I was somewhat worried that my observation would offend you. In the end though, if you like it, keep it the way it is. ^__^
Edit: As for resolution, my monitor runs at 1440x900 (widescreen), but PW supports up to 1280x1024. So, I run the game at 1280x1024 as playing PW with its widescreen setting is a bit odd on my eyes. Perhaps I don't have it set up correctly? When taking screenshots, I set all graphic settings to Full, take the screenshot, then revert the graphics settings so I can play without lag. My graphics card and RAM need to be upgraded. T_T""
By cropping the image, I reduce the filesize and try to avoid stretching the forum thread. By reducing the image size by 50% or 75%, I also avoid page stretching, but the image's quality looks a bit better. I save files as .png.

Each of the posted characters has something unique, i especially liked this and this one. Mahinva wrote:...but PW supports up to 1280x1024. actually, it depends on your monitor & graphic card. For me, PW supports up to 2048x1536, the question is, how many fps the game will have when i already have troubles @1280x1024 and max settings - in crowded places that is. .png is a lossless format, so it has a bigger size than a jpeg, but better quality. jpeg is fine for screenshots though, just set the resolution higher then it will be ok (or do you see any compression-caused artifacts in my screenshot? :p)

Hm, odd. Soukyuu, when I look at my Display Properties settings tab, the resolution is stated as 1440x900. The same can be said about viewing the resolution through my ATI controller (on the taskbar.) This monitor is said to be "HD Grade 1440x900" when reading the side of the box; the monitor is just a few days old so I am still getting used to it. A huge change from an ancient CRT (not even a flatscreen!) If the graphic card doesn't support 1440x900, wouldn't it set my monitor to a different resolution right now? When I load the PW launcher and go to the "Display" options (or even in-game) the highest resolution it will allow me to set is 1280x1040 from the resolution drop-down window. I could check off the 16:9 Widescreen setting in the Launcher "Display" options, but I am not too keen on how the image displays - there are the black top and bottom bars while the game's display itself looks smaller. I know the bars are a characteristic of widescreen monitors, and I try to avoid them when possible. This monitor was just a great deal and I desperately needed a new one, hence the purchase. I am confused because the video card seems to support this 1440x900 setting, but PW does not give me an option to do so. If I check the 16:9 widescreen option, I still do not get the option to change the resolution to 1440x900. I do not really mind to run it at 1280x1040 but would like to see what the game looks like when running it at "proper" settings. I usually run the game on low settings because, as I mentioned before, my RAM and Graphics Card needs updating. Well, the whole computer could use new parts but I can still handle games and Photoshop, plus I can't afford upgrading right now. XD I try to use .png for all my images, whether they are screenshots, photos, or images I create. I will have to look more carefully at your screenshots, but I do not believe I have ever noticed any artifacts. ^_^ You linked one of my pictures (the girl with pinkish hair.) Thank you - I agree, every character has something unique! I modified Guri a bit; changed the eyebrow size and thickness, as well as tried a different pupil hue. Please let me know what you think. ^^ I just liked the way the sun hit her face on this one. ^^"

The thing about TFT monitor is that their resolution is fixed, because TFTs are built off pixel units - if you try to use another resolution than the TFT's native one, it will look bad, because the monitor will have to either use multiple pixels to represent one (the image will appear blurred) or ... i don't now how it shoudl display a higher resolution, since it only has a limited ammount of pixels. The CRTs are better in this aspect, since they don't have fixed pixel units and can use any supported reolution - for example the high 2048x something one. Also, the CRT still has better image quality, the only advantage of TFTs for me is their size <.< *is CRT user* The 2 resolutions you stated are probably the 2 native resolutions of your TFT, namely the widescreen and the non-widescreen one. About Guri, i like both versions xD The second one has more "natural" eye hue i guess...
