Yes, you can have up to 10 pets. Mounts do take up slots. To get more than 5 slots, you'll have to use real money to purchase the pet cage item from the pet trainer.

And would that be one pet at a time, or all five at once with that pet cage item?

oh an LD, where I saw it was when you press P to open up the pet slot window, there's five going down, but there's another set of five to the right. Maybe that's only for werefoxes?

one pet at a time, yes, they're very greedy... it costs 5 RMB i think (less than a dollar) to buy one cage, about 300,000 game coins. anyone can have 10 pets, but i don't think that's practical, hehe. i have 5 right now (1 mount included).

You can get up to 5 slots by quests alone. After that, you get 1 additional slot per pet cage. Alternatively, you can open up all 10 slots by buying 9 pet cages (you start with 1 slot) and not do any of the quests.

yup, only werefoz get 2 slot on starting, then u can get the quest to get other three slot, another 5 slot, need cash item, each is not more than 1 usd,in game around 300k PWM (perfect world money)
