NecroWing, this is a yes and no answer. Winged priests (yu ling) can use swords as well as wands, staffs, and wheels, however, they do not fight w/ them like the melee classes do. The same thing goes for the human mage (fa shi) and werefox (yao jing). The weapons they hold only serve as boosters for their magic attack power, and although they do give physical damage bonuses, u will never see a priest, mage or werefox attempt to batter an opponent to death with it cuz they wud do next to no damage. So basically although the weapon shown above looks like a normal melee weapon, it is actually classified as a magic tool, which helps cast skills more effectively.

Ahh i see. Well i got 700MB to decide (Bitlord is S-L-O-W ) so i'll see wether i would prefer a class that uses swords as a magic medium or a melee weapon:d . Thanks:d

Not wanting to bring back an old thread, but I know for a fact winged archers and human mages can both use swords for physical attacks also. I switch to sword with my archer when enemies get close somtimes. Of course take note there are no sword skills and attack damage is only slightly above half of what I do with my bow, the only logic in using swords are for the attack speed which you don't get with a bow.
