Yes that is totally possible, They can summon a pet at any time
EXCEPT in the water (unless you have a water pet, such as a turtle)
you can even summon one ontop of a mountain and tell it to stop following you and you can jump off, the poor thing will just sit there
(but eventually it will disappear ofcourse ^_^)

I think even on a bridge, it's considered on water. Although I haven't tried summoning a water pet on it, I couldn't bring or summon a land monster on it. Or it could be that bridge was overlooked and they didn't fix it.

No i dont believe that is true..
That is why a summoner can be a force to reckon with in pvp
but with the right tactics everything fallsLaughing

But uhmm... coz here in pw philippines were having our Close Beta now.. and base on my experience.. uhmm yaojing summoners (int types) owning in duel, coz of their "Swap" swapping their life and energy values. what do you think of this ? their swap skill..

That skill is very powerful indeed
But in pvp some classes which are very powerful in the begginning levels, might not be as strong in the higher levels of the game. So if you cannot kill a certain type if class at one level keep leveling up and who knows, you might just become the strongest class in the gameLaughing

Also from what i know the swap skill switches MP with HP, therefore it would recover much HP yes, but it would leave your MP at a very low quantity, therefore making the werefox unable to use strong skills. So if you are strong enough you can do very much before the summoner can recover its MP.. but that is only if you are a good pvp'er ofcourse, and smart with your skillsSmile

Like ive said in numerous posts, Every class has its weakness.. you just simply need to find itBrick wall

Oh i see.. but uhmm... im thinking of Int type summoner .. not a werefox, coz i think werefox is weak and if i concentrate on an int/con build summoner using wood spells, isnt much stronger than werefox right? and in werefox skills i only use debuff for supporting my teammates.. is this correct? thanks again krisis :o

Yes when i said werefox i meant Summoner
But when you turn into the actual fox form you can use numerous Debuffs and even attack skills which can be pretty strong. You can use the Debuffs on both monsters or in PVP, So if your going hunting in a party you can forsure support your teammeates using debufs. But like i said the fox form can use attack skills aswell.

And between the two (the summoner or fox)choices, who is stronger is not something i can really say because it all depends on your stat build and armor selection.

Question : I notice in wiki that 'Werefox can sell pets' so i was wondering who do werefox sell them too? npcs or players? is it far more expensive than most sell-able loot?

Usually they would sell to the NPC because the summoner is the only character in game which can use the monsters for fighting so not much people would buy them (unless you can trick them somehow). So its usually the NPC

I've posted towards the bottom, it's not absolute, but it may provide some insight.

If you make a light armour build, you do have enough to equip everything you want, but you're left with less points to distribute as spares. But for some people, that may be alright seeing as they'll have higher physical defense.

But if you were to go with a magic armour build for example, based on the INT requirements of the magic tools, you have much more spare points which could be used for CON to increase HP to compensate for the lack of physical defense.

I wouldn't recommend heavy armour unless you don't mind sacrificing some INT, thus not being able to equip your maximum weapon which therefore provides you less attack power in general, and also less magic defense. However, you may be able to find a build around this and able to equip heavy armour.

It just depends on the build you'd like.
