Right,

time for me to ask a question.....

What would be the best type (not grade !!) of Soulstone to add to a weapon for an EP.
It seems the two best options are:
- the WhiteBrume Soulstone, which gives + mage attack
- the White Jade Soulstone, which gives + metal attack

As for the options:
- as said: the WhitBrume gives a mage attack bonus and as such would also have a positive impact on the healing spells ?
- the White Jade gives a metal attack bonus, and since the EP offensive spells are metal based, the added metal attack bonus would be nice. But would it also have any additional effect on the healing spells? Or would the healing spells stay as if no Soulstone was added?

Next question:
same grade of WhtiteBrume and White Jade, same weapon (with same blue stats etc..), which of both stones would have the most impact on the offensive spells of an EP?

Has anyone ever tested this?
If yes, what where the results?
And please, do not post simply with this or that is better,
but preferably post an answer backed up by facts (the scientific approach Smile ).

Thanks in advance for any reply.

There is at least 1 spell that is not metal element and is based on m.atk for EPs - Plume arrow
So the m.atk stone will amplify both metal and non-metal skills

The skill description of healing skills is saying something about "basic magic attack damage" so i guess the add-ons don't count? (Oh how i love deciphering weird translations...)
But if the soulstone add-ons do count then the healing skills would m.atk benefit only from the m.atk stones - heal is not metal element.

I don't know if the metal soulstone adds more metal dmg than the m.atk one, but if it's the case then i guess you should go for the m.atk stones if you are using mostly metal skills and want higher damage and go for the m.atk stones if you want higher heal & an equal boost for all dmg skills.

edit: the PH skill description is saying something about "magic power" instead of "basic magic attack damage". I guess that means total m.atk - healing skills will be amplified by m.atk stones.

Soukyuu,

thank you for your response.

But, your reply has not actualy answerred the questions...
And yeah..the game translations don't realy help.

Hmm seems that I will actualy have some in game testing to do.

For a pre-selected mob:
- carefully note down the damage I do with my HH70 weapon, with grade 6 mage stone, per skill used. For a duration of let's say: 100 kills
- do the same again, but now with a grade 6 metal stone.
Compare the results...and I will have my answer.
(ahhhhhh, the thought of the results being inconclusive already gives me headaches Shock )

To test the effects on healing... hmm gonna be tricky.
Need to find me a WB who is willing to act as a guinea-pig.

On a side note: I am wondering if the results would be similar for a WF? As in wood stones versus mage stones Think
