Topic Skills like Frighten or Howling and other curse skills that power down enemy attacks and defense, are they worth it? These curse skills are pets only , which means no other jobs including WereFox herself can inflict , may be handy for boss fights?
Another questions, is there a way to set the pet AI to spam all the skill without me going through all its 4 skills every time? Giving me a hard time to spam all the pet skills and my own skills at the same time, if i do that, most often i will forget to heal my pet, even more on boss fights.

I don't play Werefox but I believe to select which skill is automatically spam by your pet, you just left-click (toggle) the skill box so that a yellow border appear around the box. This instructs the pet AI to use the skill on its own. Master of the Pearly Tower

Well you have to click the skill for it to use it, or the hotkey alt+2/3/4/5 whichever is for you. But i find it faster to actually click them And as for the topic, at lvl 63, now i can give you some insight on them. 100 defence point doesn't matter a lot that's true, but if you want the ultimate pet. Learn the skills as you lvl up your low lvl pets. I have 2 main pets right now, my lvl 63 bee and lvl 63 golem. Spend over 8m in total on these 2 pet skills. My pet never lose hold of the monster so i can spam magic and kill fast. Golem Biting lvl 4 Smash lvl 4 Howling lvl 4 Reflect lvl 1 Bee Biting lvl 4 Smash lvl 4 Howling lvl 4 (Donno what to learn here haha) And one thing is to switch between skills by clicking on the skills is way faster. For example Golem go with smash - > right click biting right away = same lvl monster dead. (Just repeat, of course, you're casting envenom -> iron rock -> envenom during this 2 pet skills)
