how viable do you think a Battle Fashi/Mage would be?

Would focus on Water and Earth.
Eventually follows Dark path.

Basically have Lots of str and con, and I'm thinking some int and no dex, but not sure on this part.
Thinking about heavy armor.

As for skills:

==Earth skills==
Distance Shrink - 25m jump (30 once dark, far better than Wuxia IIRC)
Stone Barrier - extra p.def
Blasting Point - cancel skill and no atk/skill (from what I understand)
Mountain Press - great dmg and stun %

==Water skills==
Cold Dew - self heal, duh
Cryonite Dragon - greatest dmg and slow

==Strategy==
Meant to be a survivor. With the self buffs, armors, and whatever bonuses, should be able to live for quite some time.
Against ranged classes, use Distance Shrink to get right on them, if needed use Blasting Point and with the time you get, cast a powerful skill and then bash away.
For the other heavy dmg types, you wont be able to out damage them with skills (due to lower int) and your str wont be as great as theirs, but the goal is to survive longer...
If they come for you, rend them useless and hit em hard and survive. If they run mini-nuke them ><

I know it's not perfect, just an idea I have and would like to try, but if it's completely no good, then oh well...

Anyways, tell me what you think! And how it would fair against the other classes and against monsters.

Also, what would you say is more important stat wise in this type of build?

Thanks everyone!

NOTE: have checked search, didn't find anything useful.

I'm sorry to say this, but since you want comments on this build, I have to be harsh. Sorry.
1. NO
2. Most people follow Fire and either Water or Earth (thats what i hear). Fire is the best damage, and the lvl 29 fire AOE nuke is really good. Water is for slow/heal/support with decent damage, and Earth is, well nice, but i havent seen too many earth type FaShi. I dont have a FaShi, so i'm no expert, so dont believe everything i say Wink
3. Mages are supposed to be support, pure damage, and pretty much nothing else. A FaShi without Int is useless, and the extra hp might be good in solo, but useless in a party, where a mage is supposed to be training. With this build, you will be not so great in pvp, and even worse in pve. Lets take a look.

You said a lot of Str and Con. Well, you wont need the str (except to wear the heavy armor). This means that you will have very low magic defense and will die against magic mobs. The con helps you survive, but if you are going for con, why not use the magic armor, which wastes less stat points, and pump con instead? Basically you are going for a heavy tank build, which is worse than a magic tank build, in which you would have more con, in which case you would survive just by using the extra con. Maybe you could be close to what you would get against physical dmg mobs, and you would survive longer on any mob, not just magic because of the extra hp.
"Some int and no dex". Well, first of all, you need a LOT of int for your weapons. Without weapons, you might as well be a wannabe werebeast with less hp, less defense, less magic defense, and no attack. So you need INT. You also need a small amount of dex needed for the heavy armor.

To use magic weapon, you need at least 3 int per lvl.
To use heavy armor, you need at least 2 str per lvl AND you need .5 DEX per lvl. Oh No! You dont even have enough to use your heavy armor! On top of that, you want more con? sorry, you dont have enough points to do Heavy, armor, let alone extra con. So you will have to use lower lvl armor than your actual lvl, AND you will be without con.

In essence, your proposed FaShi will be a wannabe tanker with no hp, low magic defense, and no attack. If you want to be a FaShi, you better stick with the traditional Int/Con build if you want to solo sometimes, but the best would be a pure INT build, which is what mages are supposed to be. Mage=nuker. thats it. Tanker? NO. solo? maybe, but probably not. Nuker? Definitely. Sorry about being hard, but it wont work.

Its not common to see builds of str/con , but you can do it. The lvl 13 or 14 wand/stick requires low int and low agility. The progress of this design needs a couple of factors:

1) Crafting or Money : You can mine/resource at lvl 3 , get a tool, gather everything. You re main sources needed are iron , and cotton thread to make your gear.
You need enough materials 4 attempts at the weapon , and 2 attempts for each piece of armor youre gonna wear. Skill level makes no difference in the item you get til around 50.
You want either , 2 star or 2 star + blue weapon , sword the pine one is the best bet for lvl 7 to 15. You can most likely make a nice one in 4 attempts better than the quest one.
At low lvls , its important to learn what gear to use. You want magic defense waist item , and physical defense neck item. The rings should be magic attack.

Your spells are based at least to 17, on magic equipment by 55% or so. You re int isnt much of a factor til you begin to get into the 12 to 14 range.

2) learn the weapon armor requirements - Str requirements for heavy armor begin to climb at 13 to 20. You ll want look for -15% or so heavy armor requirement armor. Its possible to make these, its also possible get them on the auction house.

You have to begin plan your build out in advance so you dont run into any problems.

end note: Your spells regardless of int are gonna insanely strong. So far at 17 everything is based around the equipment total , which means you can craft a blue or high socket item , even lower lvl and 1 shot most monsters.

One thing you need to learn going into weird builds is pick your targets. You can often find weak or life threating attack mobs quickly, then 1 shot them gaining xp/ quest rewards faster.

At grade 2 weapons/armor/rings , break them down into fuel to make + magic attack tailsman at the doctor. You can also make 3k food at the doctor easily.

well, can't say I didn't try. Thanks for the replies though.
Just to note, I quickly came up with this because I wanted to try something unique, but looks like it's not possible in this game.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but each class/character basically has a set job, and basically that's all you can do, like so:

Wuxia - fighter (weapon specialties)
FaShi - mage (element specialties)
YuMang - archer
YuLing - priest (healer/buffer)
YaoShou - fighter/tanker
YaoJing - summoner/mage

other then that, you really can do much else with them can you? I know you "can" if you wanted to, but you know what I'm trying to say...

anyways, the replies basically confirmed my thoughts that it's no goodBoo hoo!

I'd say the most versatile class would be...maybe werefox? There is a pvp fox build, there is a pvp mage build, there is a pve standard solo build, and they all work since werefox has two skill sets. One is for magic, and one is for physical atk.
