Story:

War has come down on Calradia and war attracts its own bunch of misfits. Mercenaries, cutthroats, knights and adventurers flood into the land looking for adventure, fortune and glory. But war is a harsh master. It gives away death and grief to the lot, fortune to a chosen few, and glory, wise men say, to none. Still, men ride to war, for one or other reason. Some because they are looking for thrill and excitement, some because they are desperate and know no other way. Some because they are so bitter and hateful that they are willing to unleash doom on earth... And yet some, because they are the very heroes who will step forward to stop that...

My Opinion:

When i think of Mount and Blade i feel as if im getting an insight into the world of Darkfall seeing as the both offer up the ability to fully control yourself in combat.
But that can't be just it there's something else it's that this game is actually fun to play. because really when you play M&B it's not about winning all the battles by pure brute force. It's all about the experience of the numerous different ways you can forge onward whether you choose to be a Horseback Knight, A Stealthy Assassain, A Horseback archer,a simple footman, a gladiator, or possibly a combination of all these. It doesn't stop their though you can use well planned tactics to defeat a numerically superior foe in battle. For example station your archers atop a great hill while your close-quarters combatants do battle below and gain the advantage of height.

My Score:

When it comes to mount and blade their simply is one answer even though the game's still in testing it's great. At the very least you owe it to yourself to download the trial of M&B. So one very satisfied gamer give the masterpiece that is Mount & Blade a 10 out of 10.

what do you have the difficulty set on :p? i had mine up to max and i had to enemy out numbered by 10 and still lost lol....not to mention i killed about half of their guys

you can find the battle size changer on the forums it lets you have battles of up to 2000 vs 2000

To get back to topic, mount and blade is awesome game, don't forget to get the most updated patch in their forum.. The one on their website is stable release, the one with the most updated feature in is beta test and only can be download in their forum.

I play on hardest too, and my Hired Blades slaughter everthing without a loss or any wounded

oh, and in normal battles i cant kill horsemen almost <.< stupid enemies having faster mounts, so my blades kill them, while i slaughter footmen =D my hardest battle so far was me (only my character) vs 61 pirates, i won with 36% HP left :D

And i hate super crits, 1 arrow and you're dead.. or javelin.. headshot <.<

I wonder if M&B will ever go online, would be cool =D
