Okay... I had a problem running the game after the patcher completed on my Windows Vista machine. Even if the game is not yet 100% Vista compatbile (thats why you can't start the game), it runs very well in Vista (though not as good as on XP (graphic performance) and with a view issues!).

However to make it run on Vista you have to do the following:

1) Create a shortcut to your Game Client: e.g. C:\Program Files\PW\element\elementclient.exe

2) Open the shortcut with the right mouse button -> Properties

3) Then go to the Shortcut Tab and modify the target from:
e.g. "C:\Program Files\pw\element\elementclient.exe" to
"C:\Program Files\pw\element\elementclient.exe" game:cpw

4) Apply the changes and now run the shortcut Anxious

This will call the client manually and will startup the game. As long as you have the latest version this will do it fine.

Known issues on Windows Vista:
- I have degraded graphics performance in comparision to XP (does not run as fluid)
- Saving the graphics settings/launcher does save it in the wrong directory thus making them not available within the game
- A special graphic setting does not work on my Geforce 8800, if I activate it I get BIG FLOWERS everywhere on my screen :D (just deactive this within the graphic setting)

Have fun,
LD

It just isn't launching the game, the portal is just coming up with the patcher like before. I know I have the latest update at 24, because I restart the client and it shows it up top. Very very strange...I hate to burden you with all my complications cry

Damn I see the problem - me stupid - !!! You need to make a shortcut to the element client.exe not the patcher! You dont have this shortcut, because the game wants you to start the game via the patcher. So you need to go to the location i described above in step 1 and create a new shortcut to the elementclient.exe!

Kind regards,
LD

Great I could help!
Well it runs well on Vista here too, but on Windows XP its a bit more fluid and has absolutely no issues. BTW you can also change the graphic settings within the game. So you can play around a bit. I guess they will make it Vista compatible soon, maybe the chinese dont have it official released yet :D

Enjoy,
LD

I currently run the game on Vista, and the graphics are excellent with no issues whatsoever. It surpasses even the graphics of WoW that I've played for quite a few years now. I don't know how it runs on XP, but it's as smooth as silk on Vista and I have everything set to max too.

PS. Maybe because I have it set on 1680 X 1050 does it look so good Dancing
