Hi there. i was thinking about magic build. what do you thing about such thing?

The build :
3 dex
1,5 int
0,5 str

weapon: sling [cause of lowest str requirements]
Armor: magic [cause of str requitements]

this build gives some nice mp and mp regen. Archer uses lots of magick so this would be an advantage.

second: with shots like stun or repulse skills archer dont need to worry about close quarter fights. only long range attacks / magic attacks

with magic armor magic attacks will be low, with feather shield phisical damage would be reduced.

in my opinion this could be a nice char. i am trying it, but i am on low lev so...dunno the effects. what do u think about it ??

and ur defense will be very low too, not to speak ultra low.
but then again ... ultra low defense ... u have evasion, just dont let em hit u ^^
and ull have really good magic defense ... good against mages or magical based monsters.
the int will enable u to spam some skills u couldnt before.

i think this is a pretty interesting build wink

oh and one more thing. u dont need to focus solely on slings,
as u can use equipment that gives u some str-bonus toowink

with 0.5 str u can freely choose between sling and bow.
if u want to use xbow cause of the better damage => better for skill spamming,
u only need 1 extra point in str every 10 levels, should be pretty easy to get.

Maybe i will type more specifivally:

There are 3 types of attacks

- mele
- range pihisical
- magic

and the defence for them are:

mele:
-ice arrow [slow, run]
-repulse [stun / knock them back]
-evade [this build + buff =should be about 30-40%]
-wing shield [absorb damage, char recives only 20% damage]

Range phisical:
-evade
-wing shield

range magical:
magic armor

in my opinon the worst enemy would be range phisical foe.

And about hp
If i would go with 3 dex, 1 str and 1 con build my hp would be 50% greater. On lev 101 the difference should be 1,3k so dunno if this is much or no [to low lev to know ^^]

If you're thinking eva makes up for the utter lack of def in pve, I hate to tell you, but as far as actual usefulness for dodging is concerned, it's not all it's made out to be.

um.. i am thinking about eva as for the last line of defence :P

the major protection in my opinion in this build should be:

vs mele: not let them touch me [slow/ repulse / wing shield ]
vs ranges: wing shield

we can say the wingshield skill is here the basis. from what i have read after lev 79 when u become good [side choosing] your wing shieldwil work even better.

each character build has flaws, and that adds some personality to a char.
this char is strong against magical attacks and can spam skills,
but to achieve that something else has to be sacrificed.
